Home Library Service

Kent Libraries

The Home Library Service takes books, DVDs and CDs to people who find it difficult to get along to their local library. This is usually because of ill health, disability or caring responsibilities, and we aim to be flexible about helping people who would benefit from the service. One of our friendly volunteers will visit regularly to bring books/other items to match your interests and will collect the ones that you have finished with.

There is no charge to receive the Home Library Service, and books are delivered free of charge, with a longer loan period than for other customers. There is no charge for reservations from Kent libraries’ book stock.
