Dementia Music Therapy

Spadework

We are always looking for ways to support our community and so we are pleased to introduce a new series of music therapy sessions for adults living with early, and young, onset dementia.

In those living with dementia, music therapy is known to engage healthy parts of the brain and can help to address secondary effects of the illness; including loss of confidence, low mood and feelings of frustration.

These group sessions will be taking place here at Spadework, will be 1 hour long and we aim to run two sessions a month. Carers and/or family members are more than welcome to attend the sessions also. Sessions will be delivered by HCPC registered music therapists.

Booking is essential. To book, or to find out more information please call 01732 870002 or email us at info@spadework.org.uk.

These sessions will run alongside our Memory Cafe sessions that run on the first Monday of every month at 2.30pm. £10 per person, per session.
