Community Support Workers are committed to working with deaf people on areas of need that have been identified. Some of these include, assisting with paperwork such as bills and letters, and how to manage these, promoting independence by encouraging deaf people to access their local community and deaf events, show or assist deaf people with how to deal with communication methods such as making calls via assistive technology, video interpreted calls or emails, reducing loneliness and building confidence by being another person who can communicate with them as an equal and offering enablement specific support – one targeted area to work on together.
