The range of ways which a Community Support Worker can assist children are varied and always evolving. If you have a specific area your child or young person would like to explore, please do make contact.
Some of the areas of need we have identified and work with are providing support in accessing and communicating with their local activity groups such as Brownies, Clubs, Scouts, Canoeing or water activities, horse riding, football and many others, meeting and having deaf role models. We can provide deaf support workers that offer companionship, coping strategies, and an insight into the future of being D/deaf, transitioning into adulthood. We can help with the challenges of travelling, and can offer guidance with requesting qualified and registered BSL Interpreters for appointments.
